This is why I started collecting miles and points, amazing first class redemptions that would normally cost between $10,000 – $20,000 to purchase.
CNN’s “Amazing First-Class Air Cabins” takes a look at some of the ultra luxury first class cabins on Singapore, Swiss, Emirates, Ethiad, JAL, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, ANA, Jet Airways, and Korean Air. Even after flying with some of the above, I had no idea that Lufthansa’s A380 first class now includes automated air cabin humidifiers, that Singapore’s A380 suites were created by luxury yacht designer Jean-Jacques Coste and include Givenchy bedding, that Swiss has won several awards for their “air-cushion” technology, or that Ethiad’s suites include Ferrari leather while JAL’s mattresses are created jointly with Tempur. Take a look at the article for some of the lesser known first-class details, though I do wish there was more in-depth coverage of the ground amenities and on-board service. I’ll be supplementing the above with some recent trip reports to provide full details of the ground, lounge, and in-flight service.
Any first class experience on your to-do list that you think were left out of the article?
