I appreciate that AA is continuing to improve and keep up – or even lead – in technology.

12 boarding zones? If the aircarft is a CRJ does each pax get their own:)?

Huge improvement both visually and in content. Now we just need the general public to figure out what this all means and not crowd the boarding area.

Its not 12…the darker circles are for Priority AAccess and they board in two groups w/ AA’s EPs and OW Emerald first. And then everyone else after that with status. Then groups 1-5 after preboards and AAceess, and no large carry ons. American Eagle might have less.

I love AA and I always am happy to see improvements, but this is really much ado about nothing. Ever actually watch people and what they do with their boarding pass? They generally fold it into something small and shove it in their pockets, never to be looked at again till they board. Somehow I doubt they will appreciate the new esthetics. Plus AA missed about half the circles. What happened to “(1/2) Those with 1 bag not 2;” “(ASS)Those who insist they need to board first because they believe they are more important than everyone else;” “(FAT) Those who have to grab a seat and a half before the other poor seatmate arrives;” I’m sure there are other grous they forgot.

I like it. Especially the clarification over boarding time and departure time and group and some insight into the on-board service (wifi, meals, etc.). For frequent travelers this is a no-brainer, but all too often there’s confusion between boarding and departure time and no one wants to witness a breakdown like this 2009 clip of that lady missing her CX flight at HKG.

I like the changes. Clean and easy to read, especially the priority boarding black circles.
