Back in August I posted about a “secret” security line at JFK T4 that was actually on the arrivals level. Several commented that I had ruined it for everyone else…flattering indeed but I don’t think Point Me to the Plane has that power. Anyway, here we are almost three months later and it’s still completely empty! No waiting and TSA Pre Check!
The line upstairs, a daunting 25-35 minutes or 15 minutes with SkyPriority according to a friendly TSA agent.
I chatted with a different TSA last time who said there is little to no signage upstairs telling anyone that there’s even an alternate checkpoint (I didn’t see any either). So, once again, make use of this “hidden” checkpoint while you can prior to T4 installing some proper signage!
PS – Festive pumpkins and complimentary Dasani at SkyPriority Check In…
Back to Rome…take six

I am flying out of T4 with 2 kids on Thursday evening. As a lowly Silver I won’t have sky priority access. is it easy to get downstairs to the “secret” TSA line and could you pinpoint where exactly it is?
Thanks
@Justin – No status needed, even the non status line …had no line. Once you check-in, follow signs to the arrivals level (downstairs). Once downstairs, look for signs directing towards the Global Entry office. The checkpoint is just past that office at the far corner of the terminal(facing the street this would be the left side).
“complimentary Dansani…”
LOLZ! I wouldn’t expect to have to pay for what is essentially tap water either…. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dasani#United_Kingdom
Flew last night and worked out great! 4 minutes with 4 kids was all that we could ask for.
Thanks!
@Justin – Great! Happy it worked for the fam.
Great post as always! Anyone know if this is still going and if the wait times still generally seem to be ok?
@Jared – I was there about three weeks ago and it was still working!
