Happy Small Business Sat. – It’s Not Too Late to Register!

by Adam

Quick reminder to all readers, registration is still open for today’s Small Business Saturday event.  The promotion allows you to enroll each of your American Express cards in order to receive $10 back when you spend $10 or more at a qualifying small business location (or local Charity) on Small Business Saturday. Enrollment is limited and will continue until 11:59PM MST on November 30, 2013 unless the enrollment limit is reached sooner. Note that AMEX corporate cards and prepaid cards are not eligible. However, AMEX cards issued by other banks (including Citibank issued AMEX cards and store issued cards – Bloomingdales / Macy’s) as well as any authorized user cards with a unique card number are eligible! It’s not the $25 offer of previous years, but $10 is $10…

I was able to register all seven of my AMEX cards including the SPG Personal, SPG Business, Delta SkyMiles Personal, Delta SkyMiles Business, Hilton HHonors, Bloomingdales, and Macy’s cards. Click “where to shop” on the Small Business Saturday page to confirm where you can use your discount.

In most cases you’ll receive immediate confirmation of your Small Business purchase via email:

it was more fun when it was $25, I am not going around town for my 4 amex so I can get $40 discount from 4 diff stores, it will probably cost me more in gas at $3.80/gal.

Is the $10 statement credit for each card at each eligible merchant? Lets say I have 4 cards, do I only get a total of $40 statement credits or can I get more if I’m willing to drive around town? Thanks!!

@Teri – It’s $10 per card, regardless of the merchant. So $40 at one merchant or $10 at 4 different merchants. Enjoy!

@Graydon – I did not receive the confirmation for all my purchases either. Some stores scan the cards but have a delay in processing, I would not worry!
