The end of the Singapore Airlines direct flights to New York and Los Angeles has reshaped the World’s Longest Flight list. Qantas has now taken over the top spot with their Sydney (SYD) – Dallas (DFW) 747-400ER flight while Delta maintains the number two spot with their Johannesburg (JNB) – Atlanta (ATL) flight aboard a 777-200LR. Emirates has the third spot with service from Dubai (DXB) – Los Angeles (LAX) on the A3800-800. Update: Emirates has overtaken Qantas with their Auckland to Dubai flight and Singapore and United are in the top 3 now with San Francisco – Singapore. Here’s the full list courtesy of Wikipedia:

Perhaps you flew some of the now retired flights? I was lucky enough to experience SQ21 and DL17, here’s that full list from Wikipedia as well:

It seems like Saudia is joining the list soon with a 17-hours flight to LAX: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/saudi-airline-to-fly-to-los-angeles-in-march.80321/#post-2275982
I believe the new AA DFW=>HKG flight will clock in at 6th place now. AA’s site says 8111 miles! Any confirmations?
Man I had no idea an A380 had that kind of range
DFW-HKG is 8,123 miles, so it will be the number 6. I’m guessing the A380 will be limited in capacity, because I think even the 77W required some load limitations for DXB-LAX.
