South Korea’s government has instructed Asiana Airlines to provide additional training to pilots in reaction to the Hiroshima incident of April 14th. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport told the airline to “augment simulator training for all A320 pilots”.  As per Reuters:

South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said the measures would affect 489 pilots, 370 of them with Asiana and the remainder with its low-cost subsidiary, Air Busan. The two airlines are the only operators of the A320 based in South Korea.

South Korea also said it will step up monitoring of the carrier to ensure safety standards are improved.
