Top 5 Hilton Hotels To Take Advantage of the Citi 75k Point Sign-Up Bonus

by Michael

For a limited time, the no-fee version of the Citi Hilton Visa card (not an affiliate link) has raised its bonus from the standard 40,000 points up to 75,000 points upon spending $2,000 in the first 3 months of card ownership. This is the highest bonus that I have ever seen for this card, so if you haven’t had it before (or haven’t had it for the last 18 months), now may be the time.

Here are a few amazing places that 75,000 Hilton HHonors points can take you…

1. Rome Cavalieri, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel

One of the top hotels in one of the world’s most iconic cities, The Rome Cavalieri is an opulent oasis in the center of Rome. The Cavalieri runs for 70,000 points per night in December, January and February, and 80,000 points per night for the rest of the year. The 75,000 point bonus can get you one nights stay and save you the 400 Euro starting price. During down-season, you can even look for a points + cash combination, and possibly get a room for as low as 32,000 points + $150 per night.

2. Conrad Maldives Rangali Island (Check out our extensive Trip Report here)

The Maldives are one of the most beautiful and remote places in the world. There are many high-end resorts on the Maldives, and this is one of the best, as it sits on a private island that holds nothing but this resort. The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island also sports the world’s only all-glass undersea restaurant. A standard room starts at $950 per night, or 95,000 HHonors points.

3. Conrad Hong Kong

With an impeccable location on Hong Kong Island at the base of Victoria Peak, the Conrad Hong Kong offers luxury accommodation within walking distance of nearly everything that the city has to offer. A standard room will cost you 70,000 points per night in July and August, and 80,000 points for the rest of the year, or starting around $550 if paying cash.

4. Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa, French Polynesia

One of the top luxury hotels in the South Pacific, the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa has overwater bungalows with amazing mountain views. One night in this resort will run you 80,000 HHonors points, or $635 if you were paying cash. Overwater bungalows start around $950 per night.

5. Hilton Waikoloa Village, Kona, Hawaii

This is one of the top resorts on Hawaii’s Big Island, located in Waikoloa, about 20 minutes north of Kona Airport. A standard room starts at $250 per night (and over $400 for ocean view) at this unique beachfront resort. At 50,000 HHonors points per night year-round, it is a relative bargain. Counting the points earned from your minimum spend, you can get quite close to two nights in this resort just by getting this credit card.

A bit of a stretch to suggest worth getting the card to spend one night in the far away places. I don’t think worth getting the card for one night when 2 night offers are or jave just been available. I e hotel odeas though for those who have a collection of points,
