It is a great time to be interested in exploring the United States! Yesterday was the first day that all 4th graders and the families could have free access to all National Parks for an entire year.  Today, we want travelers to be reminded that the Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day Live! program will allow for free museum admission across the country on Saturday September 26, 2015.

Taken from their website:

The Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people. In the spirit of the Smithsonian Museums, which offer free admission every day, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket… for free.

There are 1,340 museum venues that offer free admission, which means that there will be something for everyone in the family!

The Rhode Island School of Design (or, RISD) is perhaps best known for one of its alumni: Shepard Fairey, of the street art campaign “Andre the Giant has a Posse” … (OBEY) fame.  It was Shepard who designed the famous Hope poster for the Barack Obama presidential campaign.
