Tired of Paying Checked Bag Fees?

by Michael

Are you sick and tired of paying checked bag fees on your flights? You pay a lot for a ticket, extra for food, and even more above all of that just to bring a change of clothes and toothpaste to your destination?

Well, a PR Newswire report tells us that Orion Travel Tech is the first travel company that will pay your checked baggage fees while traveling on commercial airlines. They will pay your baggage fees when you carry their bags which contain the world’s first Mobile Traveling Billboard Luggage Trolley with a front and back advertising wrap, molded into the plastic. You even can personalize your luggage with a design chosen from a number of on-going campaigns, so you won’t be stuck with something that you don’t like or want.

For signing up on their website, they even will give you the first two-piece set of luggage for free in addition to a 6-month membership for free to start.

What a novel idea. Rather than you having to pay extra to take a change of underwear on your trip, you can do it for free by being a mobile advertisement. This certainly will not be for everyone, and I don’t know what I would think about seeing dozens of rolling advertisements throughout airports in addition to the always-plentiful billboards. Innovation is a wonderful thing, however, and an invention like this is a pretty amazing concept that could be revolutionary. Only time will tell if people will embrace it, but I am interested to see how it plays out!

What do you think? Would you rather pay a checked bag fee, or be a mobile advertisement?
