A few weeks back, I blogged that Copa ConnectMiles had denied my status match as I was apparently too late to the game (many BoradingArea and Flyertalkers had already taken advantage). I was told that even though I had submitted my AAdvantage Platinum and Delta Diamond cards, I would not be receiving elite status with the airline.

It seemed that the match was temporarily paused and would resume with a “new product” at the end of the year. However, I wasn’t hopeful that they would be straight out matching going forward (worried mostly about having to complete Copa segments), so I responded back. I noted several of my colleagues who received the match with the same credentials and asked that I be given the same so that we might travel together. It took two emails, but the approach worked! They eventually asked me to resend the cards…and I received my welcome email last week. Based on previous reports, I was expecting Platinum status, though I received Gold. That’s fine as both earn Star Alliance Gold status (free United Club access), but no regional upgrades for me. In this case, persistence paid off!

hi thanks for the info BUT when i requested months ago the status match with the aegean airlines starlliance gold status i have they replied me with this by email
and same answer by phone..
what should i do?
