World’s Best Airlines for 2016 – Overall, First, Business, Prem Econ, Lounge, Low Cost, Crew & More

AirlineRatings.com has once again released their “Worlds Best Airlines” list. Below are the 2016 winners, but check out their site for detailed summaries as to why each airline brought home the prize in a given category :

Airline of the Year: Air New Zealand (third consecutive year)

Best First Class: Etihad Airways

Best Business Class: Singapore Airlines

Best Premium Economy: Air New Zealand

Best Economy: Air New Zealand – special note of their Skycouch, allowing passengers to create a couch of sorts by raising armrests

Best Low Cost Airlines: Virgin America (The Americas), Scoot (Asia/Pacific), Kulula.com (Middle-East/Africa) and Norwegian (Europe)

Best Lounges: Qantas

Best Catering: Qantas

Best In-Flight Entertainment: Singapore Airlines

Best Domestic Class: Qantas

Best Cabin Crew: Virgin Australia

Best Long Haul Airlines: Etihad (Middle East/Africa), Cathay Pacific Airways (Asia/Pacific), Lufthansa (Europe) and Delta Air Lines (The Americas)
