Chicago Students Tell United How to Run an Airline

As part of a ten week project with Chicago public school youth in disadvantaged communities, United staff (pilots, flight operations, marketing, and revenue management) provided students with a glimpse of how an airline operates. Students seemed to really enjoy the 10 week project and many girls were excited to learn that women have a place in United’s cockpits.

Here’s the real interesting part, the students gave their own presentation at United headquarters last Wednesday to share how they would run an airline and what they might do differently. Apparently the presentation was scheduled for 30 minutes…imagine a 30 minute face-to-face with UA executives to tell them how to improve United!
