Delta completed renovations to their LAX Sky Club in June of last year, adding additional seating, “high-end touches”, and showers. I stopped into the club on my return from Sydney. Take a picture tour below…
This is part five of an eight part trip report from my recent trip to Sydney:
- Virgin Australia Business LAX to Sydney
- Sheraton on the Park Sydney
- SkyTeam Lounge Sydney
- American Express Lounge Sydney
- Delta ONE (Business) Sydney to LAX (including my first Delta flight with PJs!)
- Delta’s New LAX Sky Club
- Delta Business ONE LAX-JFK-LAX
- Updates at the JFK T4 Sky Club
Welcome to the renovated club! We arrived quite early and I was in the club by 615AM. At that time, seating in most areas was open, though by the time I left at 8AM, the club was quite crowded. Seating remained, though a line had formed in the breakfast area.
Stylish digs and ample power / USB connections…
Breakfast options included Greek yogurt, low fat granola, fruit, frittatas, bagels, bread and don’t forget the cucumber and mint infused water!
The Gallery…
This used to be one of my least favorite clubs, mostly because I could never find a seat during peak times. What a huge improvement, I really liked the renovations and the upgrades, plus it seems that the seating situation (in the morning anyway) has greatly improved.

Delta One, not Delta Business One
@Delta One – Yes, that was for readers who might not be up to date with Delta’s latest business class terminology. I’ve updated it with parenthesis. The actual trip report explained that… Thanks
I use this lounge a couple times a month, so it’s been fun to see the improvements. I’m usually there between 9:00am-11:00am which is a pretty heavy time. Since the update I haven’t had issues finding myself a seat. Outlets are everywhere, which is really nice. Those weird egg things and a bagel or two with cream cheese make for a pretty decent breakfast. The agents are also very helpful, and I like that they’re more or less the same each time I go in. It’s nice to see familiar faces, and to have yours recognized. Between this lounge, the new one in San Francisco (I spend most of my time going back and forth), and Delta switching the LAX-SFO shuttle to mainline 717’s, I’m a happy camper!
