One of the reasons why it has been suggested that some Americans do not hold passports for international travel is that there is already so much to see and do within the borders of the US. The 50 states are remarkably diverse. Yahoo Travel wanted to see which experiences and destinations in each state best represented what defined America. I’ll tell you what surprised me: who knew that New Jersey had such good hot dogs!

New Mexico is not listed! Why?
The Statue of Liberty is in New Jersey. Otherwise a pretty good list.
