Cockpit Voice Recorder: EgyptAir Pilots Battling Fire Prior to Crash

by Adam

Speaking on condition of anonymity as details have yet to be released publicly, a source close the EgyptAir investigation says that the cockpit voice recorder confirms the data sent by the plane via its automated electronic messaging system. Pilots were battling heat, fire, and smoke near a bathroom and the avionics area. Wreckage that’s been recovered also shows signs of high temperature damage.

The team is not ruling out any causes for the crash at this time.
