Get a Free Uber Beach Bag With $200+ Worth of Goodies in 4 States Today

by Eric

Uber is known to drum up interest in their services by giving away free stuff, if your fingers are fast enough (and you have enough patience). Below, you will see what a previous beach bag promotion from Uber gave away – and it seems like this year’s promotion is even better!

uber-beach-bag-before

In the past, they have given away everything from ice cream, to free concert tickets. Today, if you reside in any of the following areas, you happen to be in luck:

  • Boston
  • Cape Cod
  • Fairfield County
  • Hartford County
  • Hoboken
  • Jersey City
  • Jersey Shore
  • Nantucket
  • New Haven County
  • New London County
  • Newport
  • Martha’s Vineyard
  • Portsmouth
  • Portland
  • Providence

First, enter the Uber promo code BEACHBAG2016 to unlock the Beach Bags option in your app. Then, from 11am-2pm today, request that Beach Bag option! If you manage to connect, you will receive a bag with a Kiehl’s suncare and skincare gift pack, a Fuelgood Protein, a Waboba beach ball, a gift card for a free pair of OAS espadrilles, and Uber branded beach swag. They say that the value of the items is over $200! Some lucky riders will get a special Beach Bag which includes a cooler from The Coolest Cooler, complete with a built in blender, speakers, bottle opener, and USB charger!

Hope you are lucky today. If you are, please report back and let us know if you like the freebies!

How do you actually request the Beach Bag?

Enter the promo code thru the app. The slider bar on the bottom (usually offers UberX, UberBlack, etc.) will now also have an option for “Beachbag”. Slide it to that and then request a pickup as you normally would. If anyone is in the area, it should allow you to request, if not, keep checking. They’ll drop it off right to you.

Yea right. We saw this last night and my boyfriend takes Uber all the time. He said “watch they will say they don’t have any”. Sure enough he specifically took one today to get the deal instead of having me bring him to work and they said no they did not have any. What a crock of shit! They said they’d have them in his area and he took a 11 am über so it’s not like he waited til tonight. YOU SHOULDNT ADVERTISE THINGS THAT ARE NIT TRYE JUST TO MAKE A BUCK AND THEN NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH YOUR PROMISES! Not a good look for your company and I will personally not be recommending you to anyone. :((

I don’t think you had to take a ride to request the bag. There is an option for the beach bag on the app

You should have read the details before getting all mad. You don’t have to take a ride, as they don’t even give normal drivers the bags. Special cars will be delivering them to people who request them in the area. Seems like this is their sole responsibility as they don’t pick up passengers while they are out delivering the bags.

I was actually lucky enough to win a beach bag today! I had to keep requesting it a few times – but finally got through. It was delivered by an Uber driver and filled with great stuff.
