The Excelsior Hotel in New York City is a highly rated property. The property has close to 2,000 reviews on TripAdvisor with a solid 4-star rating. A recent review tells a potential hotel guest that you should not be looking anywhere else to stay because of the excellent location and a clean room.
Located in the Upper West Side, the Excelsior Hotel room rates start at $169/night.
Recently, Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D-Manhattan) told the NY Post that multiple homeless families with children were being housed at the Excelsior Hotel. Mayor Bill de Blasio had previously stated that he would end the practice of putting homeless families in hotels after three people were killed at a Ramada Inn that was doubling as a shelter in February.
How would you feel if you were staying at a hotel that also doubled as a homeless shelter?
