Paris’ Largest Hotel, Now Fully Renovated – Le Meriden Etoile

by Adam

As you may be aware, Air France used to own Le Meriden hotels and this was one of their first properties! The Le Meriden Etoile opened in 1972 and still ranks as Paris’ largest hotels by number of guest rooms, second in France to only a hotel at Disneyland Paris. However, the hotel had been in need of a renovation for quite some time. Luckily, the property just completed a multi-million dollar refurbishment earlier this year including all 1,025 rooms (22 of those are suites). Rates are somewhat reasonable given the location and updates, as little as 170 euros or 12,000 SPG points per night. The hotel is a five minute walk from the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe.  George Hobica of The Huffington Post and Airfarewatchdog recently stayed at the property and posted his review here. Worth a read if you’re looking for a reasonably priced and renovated option in the 17th district.
