Bose QuietComfort 20 Noise-Canceling Headphones On Sale for $199!

by Enoch

Bose makes some wonderful headphones, and many frequent flyers (myself included) swear by them. While their sound quality might not be as superb as other high-end headphones, there is absolutely no denying that they are some of the best noise-cancelling headphones out there. They are a bit on the pricier end, but Amazon is now selling the wired QuietComfort 20 in-ear headphones for just $199! You can get them for Apple iOS devices or for Android devices.

These headphones were selling for $299 a year ago, and the prices were cut to $249 just a few months ago, when Bose introduced new, wireless versions. At $199, this is a great time to get a pair if you’re in the market for one. No word on how long this deal will last on Amazon, but Bose’s own website suggests that this is a temporary price cut that is good until November 29, 2o016.

I personally prefer the earbuds (QuietComfort 20) over the around-the-ear type (QuietComfort 30); I can sleep with them on, and they are also come in a smaller package, and are easy to travel with. However, it’s mostly a matter of personal preference, and I know people who own both.

The new wireless in-ear earbuds (QuietControl 30) or rather, neck-buds are really nice, and I enjoy using mine. They feature adjustable noise-canceling levels, and come with 10 hours of battery life. However, they don’t have a 3.5-mm audio jack, so you’re out of luck if you want to use them with in-flight entertainment systems. You can get a Bluetooth transmitter (like this TaoTronics one on Amazon) that plugs into the headphone jack in the IFE, and can transmit signals to your wireless headphones. But that’s not the most elegant solution, and is one more thing you’ll have to charge.

Either way, this is the lowest price I’ve seen the Bose QuietComfort 20 in-ear headphones from a reputable seller. Their noise canceling is superb, which is perfect for train rides or airplane rides. Their sound quality is also great enough for most people, and Bose’s customer service is unmatched (I once put mine through the washer/dryer and they sent me a replacement for free). At $199 on Amazon, it’s a great time to pick up a pair if you’ve been eyeing one.

These headphones ship for free on Amazon, but today (November 18, 2016) only, you can get a year of Amazon Prime membership for just $79 (instead of the usual $99), which gives you free 2-day shipping on most items sold on Amazon. This offer is only available to new sign-up, though.

So what did you tell them to get the new pair after the washer/dryer incident? Mine just went through too…
