Latest on That Couple Thrown off the Delta Flight Forcing a Turnaround – Charges Dropped?

by Adam

Remember back in December when a Citibank VP and his girlfriend disrupted a Delta flight from Minneapolis to LAX and forced the pilot to turn around? The girlfriend had apparently tried to use the bathroom when a flight attendant asked her to remain seated, resulting in the couple becoming combative. Upon landing, passengers cheered as they were escorted off, prompting the Citi VP to punch one of the applauding passengers. His girlfriend was dragged off behind him by police. Well, the Atlanta Business Chronicle provides this update on the couple and it sounds pretty good for the Citi VP of internal audit:

Thirty-five-year-old Blake Adam Fleisig of Los Angeles and 36-year-old Anna Christine Koosmann of Edina, Minn., were facing disorderly conduct charges in the Dec. 28 incident aboard Delta Flight 2565. According to news reports, charges of disorderly conduct with brawling or fighting were dropped against Fleisig, vice president of internal audit treasury finance at Citibank. Koosmann is due in court in February on a charge of disorderly conduct.

No additional details have been provided as to how or why the charges were dropped, but we’ll post here as we find out more info.
