Waldorf Astoria – “Peeing to Be Recorded” & “All Chinese” per NY Post

Back in 2014, Beijing-based Anbang Insurance (who you’ll likely remember from the Starwood negotiations), agreed to buy the original Waldorf Astoria in New York from Hilton for $2B. They then announced plans last year to close the hotel for major renovations and convert many of the rooms to apartments. With the purchase, US presidents and representatives who had longed stayed at the Waldorf for UN events, switched to other properties over monitoring and recording concerns.

It seems that the NY Post just caught on to these concerns as well as the sale, reporting in what could be considered a racist Page Six brief:

…America’s great historic fabulous familial glorious treasure in the sky — rumouredly, supposedly, imaginably — is getting hard-wired. Not confirmed but whispered through dim sum is: If you pee in the Waldorf, it’s recorded in Beijing.

America’s iconic Waldorf Astoria was itself a complete city. You could repair a shoe, fix a cuff, buy a diamond, mail a letter, eat a burger. No need to leave for anything. Now at the concierge desk, all Chinese. Maloney’s Panda orchestra, all Chinese. In the lobby, Chinese.

  1. Fear nothing, the Chinese don’t stand a chance with Putin and the Russians now controlling the White House.

Moscow will be the one knowing when you pee.

  2. Moscow controls Trump hence has direct access to NSA. Moscow monitors everything Americans do. Stop worrying about the Chinese for now. Its Moscow that has access to our privacy.

  3. Funny, the Chinese export to America nothing but garbage products that end up in our landfills very quickly, and poison our children and pets with toxic lead and chemicals. Then……. We sell them at a bargain, the world’s most iconic hotel, and full city block of land with it. It gives them great presence and stature while we lose a very important piece of America. We need to stop these sucker deals and listen to our heroic president; Mr. Donald Trump.
