Trump Supporter Escorted off United After Not Scoring Upgrade & Refusing to Allow Anyone to Sit next to Him, “Lock Him up” Chants

A man aboard United flight 87 from Shanghai (PVG) to Newark (EWR) was escorted off the plane when he restricted other passengers from sitting next to him after apparently failing to score an upgrade. The man was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat which led to passengers chanting “Lock Him Up”. The man called fellow passengers “moron”, “lesbian”, “Hillary”, and “stupid guy over there that doesn’t know how to speak English”.

The flight arrived several hours late in New York due to a delayed takeoff and then an unscheduled stop in San Francisco in order to replace the crew.

“Obviously, the hat provoked some of the stuff,” Alexis Zimmerman, who was flying back to Newark, told The Washington Post. Zimmerman said he heard the man say, “I know people don’t like my hat.”

United had this to say:

“We’re grateful for the patience shown by our customers who endured the disruptive behavior of this passenger, as well as the exceptional poise and professionalism of our flight crew,” United said in a statement.

    • +1. Sigh. Does this guy not realize the disservice that he’s doing to himself and his nation? If he did, he might have rethought his “clever” plan. Hopefully, he got to swim home.

  1. They should have removed him and let him spend the night in a Shanghai jail. Would’ve been funny to hear him mouth of about MAGA in there.
