The Long Island City Country Inn & Suites, just a 20 minute subway ride from midtown Manhattan, has a special rate tonight of $80.10 with a AAA card or $89.25 without one. Both rates qualify for the Country Inn & Suites edition of the Radisson Big Night Giveaway – Stay 1 Get 1 So Go! If you plan on actually staying in the NYC area the hotel looks really nice, has just recently opened, and has great views. I’ll be doing one of my “check in / check outs” on the way back from the beaches on Long Island later this afternoon. If you use topcashback.com then you’ll earn 10% off the pre-tax rate. A $80.10 room with the AAA rate (I’ve never been asked for the physical card at properties in N. America) tonight totals to $95.42 with tax, though using topcashback.com the effective total drops to $87.41 (note using the link will earn me a referral bonus, feel free to start a conga line in the comments section with your own links) . Again, not an especially great rate for Country Inn & Suites where rooms can sometimes be found in the $55 – $75 range in other parts of the country, but for NYC a great deal and it saves me a trip. I was able to find the $80.10 rate for Sunday, Monday, and next Fri/Sat. Remember eligible stays for the Radisson Big Night Giveaway and the Country Inn & Suites Stay 1 Get 1 must be completed by July 15th, less than 10 days from now! Why is it worth spending $87.41 to qualify for this promotion? Check out this previous entry for full details on the value of this promotion, the amazing potential redemption opportunities for rooms over $500USD, full topcashback details, and the terms and conditions of the sister promotions.
Remember the Park Inn 1 + 1, Stay One Get 1 Promo stays must be completed by July 22nd and the Park Plaza Ultimate Night Giveaway stays must be completed by August 28th. This stay brings me to the 94,000 point mark on my quest for the 188,000!
*note there is a cash + points option available as well which is definitely NOT worth it, saving you about $27 dollars but costing 10k points
