Hertz Airport Weekender Special – $14.99 through June 15th

by Adam

The Hertz Airport Weekender Special is back. Rates are just $14.99 per day for unlimited mileage on an economy or compact car at select airports when you pick-up from Thursday through Sunday. The deal is only valid at participating airport locations in the US , Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. As with most Hertz and Avis promotions, the NY Metro area and Hawaii are excluded.

T&Cs – Pick up Thursday 12:00 noon to Sunday 23:59, must return by Monday at noon or higher rates apply.  Thursday and Friday pickups require a Friday night keep. Vehicle must be returned to original rental location. May not be used with Pre-pay Rates, Tour Rates, Insurance Replacement Rates or hourly rentals and cannot be combined with any other promotion. Offer rate does not include taxes, tax reimbursement and/or additional surcharges, airport concession fee recovery charges of 18% or less, airport customer facility charges of $8.00 per day/$20.00 per rental or less, vehicle licensing cost recovery fees of $1.47 day/6% rental or less, Energy Surcharge of $1.03 per rental and optional services, including refueling. Rates do not apply in CA (though I was able to find availability at several CA locations).  Offer valid on economy or compact vehicles only for rentals commencing through 06/15/13.

Yes! Thank You! This got my weekend Tampa Reservation down to 44.57 (from 68.75)! Very nice.

I do wish Hertz published lists of participating locations.

Not very interesting. By the time you add all the hidden charges, it will pretty much double the headline rate. I find prepaid Hertz rates are often less than that, fully inclusive.

@NB – Most of the cities I’ve tried out come to between $24-$30 after all taxes and fees. While more than $14.99, it’s an excellent deal that beats most corporate rates.
