Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose when playing the mileage game. Last weekend, I posted about an easy way to earn 1500 AA, 1400 UA, 1300 WN, 1000 DL, and 950 US miles. The deal was removed from all the shopping malls last Monday, but I was still hopeful that at least some of the miles would post. Well, a week later and the miles I was least excited about earning have posted.
Unfortunately, I’m not showing any pending activity for any of the other programs. Reader results are also all over the place, several report receiving their UA miles but have not received any others while some received their AA miles but no others. It does not seem to have anything to do with the order in which you applied for the digital subscriptions. I started with UA, then moved to AA and US, before finishing with DL. Others have had only their second program post, it all seems very random. In any case, the T&Cs state that “after you make a purchase with a participating retailer, miles will typically post within 3-5 days; however it can take up to 8 weeks for the miles to post to your account.” Even if the others are never awarded, my whole experiment had a total cost of $3.96. I would not recommend contacting customer service for unposted miles. If they post great, if not it’s no big loss. Remember, subscriptions cancelled prior to 120 days (and I have a feeling many of you will be canceling before then)do not qualify and the offer was limited to one per household. So be happy with what’s posted!
