Virgin seems to be paying homage to AA’s new livery with the recent delivery of their first sharklet equipped aircraft. Sharklets are wing tip devices that enhance the eco-efficiency and payload-range performance of a plane and this one is painted in red, white, and blue. Unlike AA, Virgin America’s includes the stars as well! Of course, it’s just a coincidence. Virgin America submitted their sharklet design to Airbus more than a year ago, well in advance of AA’s updated livery announcement.

Eh, guess you could say that, or that it looks like an American Flag.
It’s a coincidence, or is it….
OMG OMG This is conclusive proof that AA will buy VX because because neither makes much money! that’s the reason AA bought airbus planes, so the takeover of virgin would make more sense! 🙂 🙂
Funny coincidence, though how creative can you really get on a sharklet?
At least Virgin America got the design right!
