Here’s a preview of our experience at the Emirates A380 First Class Lounge at Dubai (DXB) while connecting to Male, Maldives (MLE). The First Class Lounge at Concourse A in Dubai officially opened last February and is exclusively for A380s. The lounge is incredible and spans the entire concourse with all gates directly connected from within the lounge as well as a sit down fine dining area, private duty free shopping, cigar lounge, spa, and many other crazy amenities. Full trip report next week, in the meantime, check out these pics:

Nice lounge. Is the spa included like the one in BKK for Thai’s F? Also, can you share how to book Emirates F?
@Tiara – Yes, I have the full menu of the available complimentary treatments which I’ll be posting in the trip report. Will also be positing on how I booked our trip (Alaska Airlines) but check this link as well – https://pointmetotheplane.boardingarea.com/2012/06/28/emirates-adds-second-a380-flight-to-jfk-redemption-options/
To stop people getting too excited, do remind everyone that whilst only A380’s depart from the new concourse (so you’re stuffed in you’re on a 777), plenty of A380’s also depart from the old concourse and there is no way of knowing until you check in!
@Raffles – True, our connecting flight to Male wasn’t even on A380, but you’re still able to use the lounge in Terminal A which is an easy train ride away.

Thanks for the report. Is the Lounge open 24/7? I just booked an award trip in First SYD-DXB-JFL and have from 13:30 one day till 8:30 the next. Your report sounds like I could spend the whole time in the lounge and not get bored. And I already have received notice of a comp hotel at the St. Regis
What I would like to do to take advance of the car service is to be dropped off at the tallest building – then make my way to the Plam and be picked up there to go back to the airport 🙂
@Bill n DC – sounds like a great plan! When’s your trip, I should have a full trip report in the next two weeks to give you a better idea of all the amenities at the lounge. Lounge is 24/7!
