Amazing Glitch: Delta Near Unlimited Partner Award Availability – BOOKABLE!

by Adam

Avery, a member of the Juicy Miles team and author of Don’t Call the Airline!, has discovered quite an amazing glitch on the Delta website. Near unlimited partner availability – we are talking VS, AF, AZ, CN, CZ, KE, etc. Check out his post for full details on how to find the availability and take advantage while you can! If you have a family of 4, 5, 6+, this is your opportunity to all travel together on the same flight!

OK, now here’s another interesting one. I’m seeing the same 9 seat business availability on Air France, for example, CDG-JNB.

That’s 9 seats! Now, let’s look at the ExpertFlyer availability, which shows only 4 business seats available for that flight.

What’s really amazing – these flights aren’t just phantom, THEY’RE TICKETING. Phone agents do NOT see the availability, but it is bookable online.

Update 01/08/15 11:45EST – Delta has updated their website and fixed the glitch.

And of course I don’t have enough DL miles in my account for the trip I want to book for my birthday yet. =(

“Near unlimited partner availability – we are talking VS, AF, AZ, CN, CZ, KE, etc.”

sorry, but the availability is not nearly as open and widespread across the partners’ routes.

I am guessing that you didn’t spot check any yourself. the original source you link to only refers to LHR-JFK and CDG-JNB, hardly a huge sample!

@Jon – Not the case at all. Constructed itineraries for 6 or more pax on all of the listed carriers. Did you follow the flexible search rules?

besides LHR-JFK (VS) and CDG-JNB (AF), what other routes and carriers did you check and which sample dates? I tried various from LAX, SEA, SFO, SEA, ORD, LAS, etc. thanks.

Delta will cancel if they want.

@Kris – The flights are ticketing which makes that very unlikely. Worst case, I think DL may switch you to their own metal.

Seeing low level business class to SYD on LAX on DL, VA, CZ, and KE.

Hi Adam – again, besides the two routes mentioned, I am curious about the searches you did on all of the carriers mentioned (and if these were one-offs) or many routes on these carriers. you original source, “Don’t Call the Source” has removed the post. Thanks.

@Jon – Are you sure you were using the search method described over at DCTA? The post is still up if you want to read it. Most major direct routes on the partners were still working up until 20 minutes ago when the DL site went down. It’s now back up but very slow and I’m not sure if availability has changed. ATL-ICN, ATL-AMS, LAX-BNE, LAX-CAN, LAX-ICN, JFK-CAN, JFK-AMS, JFK-FCO, JFK-ICN, MSP-CDG- from the US as well as onwards travel were just a few of the successful bookings.
