Singapore Airlines Testing New Website

by Enoch

We reported that United is in the process of launching a re-designed website last week, and it look like another Star Alliance partner, Singapore Airlines, is also testing their own new site. If you visit their website today, you will notice a tiny little tab in the top right corner inviting you to check out the new website design, which is still in beta.

I am a big fan of the new homepage, which looks a lot cleaner and important fields are highlighted. The website also feels more responsive in general—animations are subtle and smooth and switching tabs in the in the main booking page is snappy.

I tried to go through with booking a ticket, but it looks like the booking engine is still the same as the old one as of this writing. In fact, most of the pages (managing existing reservations, etc.) are not yet updated to the new design. Like United, I suspect this is something that will take around a year to complete and rollout.

What do you think of the new design of SingaporeAir.com?
