10,000 AMEX Membership Rewards Points for Extended Payment Enrollment

by Adam

This was easy enough for earning 10,000 free AMEX Membership Rewards points.  I don’t plan to use the service as I pay my bill in full each month, but I’m happy to take the points.

  1. Enroll for the Extended Payment Option by 11/01/16 at americanexpress.com/openpayovertime87
  2. Points will be credited to your account within 6-8 weeks after enrollment is approved
  3. Offer only available to card members who have received communication directly from AMEX…however three of my colleagues were able to register with no problem (you need to have an OPEN Business Card, I have a Platinum while two of them have Gold and one also has a Platinum).  We’ll see if the points post for them (I’ll update here).
  4. Extended Payment Option can be canceled at any time and is effective within two weeks after making your request (I’ll do this once the points post).
  5. DONE!

Apparently this is somewhat targeted I was given a message that my account wasn’t eligible.

I wasn’t targeted, I did get the pop-up saying I wasn’t targeted but was allowed to continue to enroll. We’ll see if they let me have the 10k.

As a follow up, did the points post to your account as advertised?
