We all hate it when we have to wait an extra hour to get home from a long day of traveling. That’s why when we find out that our flights are delayed, we become so frustrated.

Recently, Time Magazine published an article which examined the 8 American airports with the lowest percentage of on-time departures between January-March 2016, according to data from the Department of Transportation. The list of the worst of the worst?

  1. San Francisco, CA (SFO)
  2. Miami, FL (MIA)
  3. Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL)
  4. Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (DFW)
  5. Denver, CO (DEN)
  6. New York, NY (LGA)
  7. Los Angeles, CA (LAX)
  8. Orlando, FL (MCO)

I was surprised that airports in the Northeast did not rank higher, given the density of traffic and the poor weather!

Did any of these airports surprise you?
