AT&T Finally Joins Verizon, T-Mobile, & Sprint in Cuba

by Adam

AT&T announced yesterday that they will finally  be joining Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile in Cuba (they arrived in that order). Like the others, AT&T has closed a deal with Empresa De Telecommunicaciones De Cuba, S.A. (ETECSA) to allow for customer roaming while traveling in Cuba. Until Monday, AT&T was the only major US carrier without a roaming agreement in the Caribbean nation. You should be able to use your AT&T service in Cuba beginning this fall. I recently returned and had an incredible time (and great flights on Copa).  I didn’t mind having no AT&T wireless service and only spotty wifi service…it was nice to disconnect.
