Walt Disney World Swan (Westin) Hotel – Closes Employee Cafeteria for Roaches

The employee cafeteria at the Walt Disney World Swan was closed by the health department last week after an inspector noted live and dead roaches according to the Orlando Sentinel. The hotel is operated by Starwood as a Westin. Not to worry though, guest eating establishments were not impacted and were given a clean bill of health. The hotel did issue a statement:

“We take all matters seriously involving the health and safety of our cast and guests. We were alerted to an issue in our Swan employee cafeteria, caused by an unused piece of equipment, and immediately had it removed.”

To be fair, this same situation happens at countless hotels throughout the world each day, it’s just that the Orlando Sentinel reports on those around Disney.
