3rd Night Free At Select Hyatt Hotels in Asia, Even the Park Hyatt Maldives!

This promotion has actually been out for a while, but I recently finally had a chance to take advantage, and realized I never wrote about it on here! Through March 31, 2017, you can get the 3rd night free at selected Hyatt properties in Asia when you pay with a Visa Platinum, Signature, or Infinite card. Simply enter the code HYVISA under “Special Offers” on Hyatt’s website to book.

You have to book with the Standard Rate for this offer, so you will be forfeiting any Advance Purchase or Member Discount rates. However, with every 3rd night free, you are basically getting 33% off, so that’s likely better than other available discounts. You can find some pretty good rates with this promotion. For example, you can stay at the Grand Hyatt Bangkok for $117 per night + taxes around New Years.

Not all properties are participating, though most of them in China, Thailand, and South Korea are. The Park Hyatt Maldives and Park Hyatt Siem Reap are also eligible for this offer. You can check out a full list at the end of this post.

Though in the case of the Park Hyatt Maldives, the rates as astronomically high, but you can redeem just 25,000 points for a free night. If there is availability, you might even be better off just buying or transferring points for the stay. Make sure you do the math to make sure paying cash and using this discount makes sense for your situation.

To answer a few logical follow-up questions, you can take advantage of the promotion more than once, even on the same stay. This means if you stay 6 nights, you’d get 2 of them free. The room rates are prorated, so you will be charged a lower rate for all 3 nights, and earn elite-qualifying nights on all of them (which matters if you’re looking to qualify for elite statuses next year).

You will have to pay with a Visa Platinum, Signature, or Infinite card. Most US Visa cards are “Visa Signature” cards if you have a $5,000 credit limit or higher, but look above the Visa logo on your card to make sure. You can check out travel credit cards here.

The Citi Prestige offers 4th night free on all hotel bookings, but this promotion requires a shorter stay for just 3 nights, and is a good opportunity to save on hotels that wouldn’t otherwise be discounted.

  1. They seem to have had this offer for at least the past two years. Any idea if the offer will continue next year? (I need to make a booking in April 2017.)
