Who wouldn’t enjoy getting a little tipsy with your favorite Disney characters? Before a change that went into effect at the end of December, the only place where you could grab booze at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom was Be Our Guest, the Beauty and the Beast restaurant that opened in 2012. Prior to 2012, the park was completely dry as per Walt Disney’s wishes.
Well, The Disney Food Blog reports that back in December four additional restaurants began serving alcohol:
As was the case with Be Our Guest, Disney will introduce alcohol that suits the themed menus in the four no-longer-dry Magic Kingdom restaurants. Tony’s Town Square will offer Italian wines and beers to complement its Italian menu; Liberty Tree Tavern will showcase American products like New England lagers, ciders, and domestically-produced wines; Skipper Canteen sticks to its explorer-themed menu with wines and beers from around the world; and Cinderella’s Royal Table stays regal with champagne and sparkling wines.
Disney states that alcohol service will only be allowed during lunch and dinner and there are no plans for any alcohol concession stands.
