BREAKING: 20K SkyMiles or $200 Travel Voucher for Delta Flights April 3 – 9

If you were stuck in Delta’s weather / IT system mess that lasted almost a full week (last Tuesday – Sunday), you may be entitled to 20,000 SkyMiles or a $200 travel voucher. Only those passengers who experienced a 3 hour or greater delay and/or a complete cancelation on 2 or more flights qualify. This credit will be proactive and communication should come directly from Delta.

Delta will provide a PROACTIVE $200 travel voucher or 20,000 SkyMiles to all customers who experienced an IROP (a delay of greater than three hours in getting to their final destination, or a canceled flight) on two or more flights during the course of the April 3-9 service. This includes travel scheduled on April 3-9, 2017.


•Customer is on a cancelled flight and they opt not to travel and take the refund: Do not qualify

•Customer is on a flight either canceled or delayed and they are rebooked on another flight that is delayed for less than three hours: Do not qualify

•Customer is on a flight either canceled or delayed and they are rebooked on another flight that is also canceled or delayed for more than three hours: Qualify

  1. We were stranded for three nights at LaGuardia airport. No compensation or concern from any Delta employee. The $200 voucher is an insult! It cost us over $1500 of our own money due to Delta’s incompetence. They should refund us all of that amount!

    • @Jennifer – So sorry to hear that! $200 is just a proactive starting off point. I would certainly email Delta customer care and let them know your exact expenses. Ask for full reimbursement and a refund of your flights.

  2. Who do you contact about this? I was on flight with my husband delayed 5+ hours April 7th, and so far Delta hasn’t offered me anything.
