JetBlue Attendant Who Quit via Emergency Slide Provides Advice to Rogue Twitter Employee Who Took down Trump’s Account

by Adam

Who could forget Steven Slater and his epic exit from JetBlue! He was the flight attendant who got on the PA system and informed everyone that he had been abused by a passenger, that he was quitting his job, and that they could all go f*** themselves! He then grabbed two Blue Moon beers and deployed the evacuation chute. He proceeded to slide down to the tarmac and then drove his car home from the parking lot! He was of course later arrested and agreed to a plea bargain in 2010. The agreement had him pay JetBlue $10K for restitution.

Well, in an interview with The Washington Post, Steven Slater now has some advice for the “rogue” Twitter employee who decided to disable Trump’s Twitter account last week.

“Sometimes I think one person can sort of be a lightning rod for sort of what’s in the group conscience. What’s funny about it is I believe it did sort of tap into the zeitgeist of that moment. . . . I mean, God, who hasn’t wanted to pull the plug on [Trump’s Twitter account]? Who can’t get behind this? Who can’t rally behind that?”

“Don’t take anything personally, and don’t have regrets. Don’t second-guess. It is what it is. Be present and you’ll be fine . . . And I would say I’d like to buy this guy two beers.”

The article is an interesting read and provides insight as to what Slater has been up to and the difficulties he’s experienced since exiting JetBlue in such a dramatic fashion.
