Have you ever puzzled over the difficulty some have lifting carry-on bags into overhead bins?
Certainly, an elderly person should be expected to swiftly shoulder press a roll-a-board bag, but even muscular, strong men sometimes seem unable to just get the bag in the bin.
Case in point, this hilarious video, currently circulating on Facebook. Comic relief always fits well into a Friday afternoon.
On what appears to be an unknown European airline, a fully able-bodied man cannot, cannot, cannot with all his might get his bag into the overhead bin. Why? He’s trying to put it into the bin face forward, with the widest part of the bag blocking the bin.
A very concerned yet caring flight attendant eventually approaches the man, and shows that if he turns his bag sideways, it fits neatly into the space, and closes the hatch.
What makes this video truly remarkable is the audio. A flight attendant is announcing preparations for landing, which means that this individual has already put the bag in the bin and then removed it.
Maybe it was the Lunesta wearing off?
For anyone who has struggled a bit to get their bag into a bin, take solace. At least it wasn’t this hard.

Yes I’ve been that guy in the video but only for a few seconds after my bag made a feeble attempt to fight, I manhandled it with a ‘Get IN there!!!’ shove and that was that.
I am flying on a CRJ-900 tomorrow. This will be me tying to get my roller bag in those tiny overhead bins. I Hate the CRJs.
As frustrating as it can be some people don’t fly much or never do. This guy may have been super jetlagged, tired, mentally disabled or just not good at this task. Or maybe he was so blinded by the grief of being a Hillary Clinton disciple like Bill above that he just couldn’t think straight enough to let go of his old baggage and move on with this journey 🙂
