Pre-Order Main Cabin Menu Items
Alaska unveiled its new Main Cabin buy-on-board options for flights through November 15. Starting today, Alaska’s new food options are available for pre-order via the Alaska app – cool!
For now, the pre-order functionality is only available for flights on Boeing aircraft. Alaska says pre-order options will be available on Airbus and Embraer flights in “early 2019.”
Healthy Touches
Great news for health-conscious travelers: nutritional information for the new menu items will be available on Alaska’s app via the new pre-order tool. Nutritional information will also be added to alaskaair.com and in-flight entertainment portal alaskawifi.com.
New Main Cabin Menu – Available Through November 15
Breakfast Croissant Sandwich
・Served 6 am – 10 am on 3+ hour flights
・Includes Applewood-smoked bacon, cage-free hard-boiled egg, and avocado mayo
Fresh Start Protein Platter
・Served 6 am – 10 am on 3+ hour flights
・Includes Greek yogurt, almonds, fruit, Beecher’s Flagship Cheese, hard-boiled egg, pita bread, and turkey
Signature Fruit and Cheese Platter
・Served 6 am – 8 pm on 2+ hour flights (Boeing and Airbus aircraft; 3+ on Embraer)
・Features “optimized” cheese-to-cracker ratio
Charge Up Protein Platter
・Served 10 am – 8 pm on 3+ hour flights
・Includes hummus, pita bread, Beecher’s Flagship Cheese, grilled chicken, hard-boiled egg, and walnuts
Turkey and Artichoke Baguette
・Served 10 am – 8 pm on 3+ hour flights
・Includes artichoke spread and avocado mayo on a fresh baguette
West Coast Cobb Salad
・Available on coast-to-coast and Hawaii flights
・Mixed greens with rotisserie chicken, grilled asparagus, crumbled Beecher’s Flagship cheese, avocado, Applewood-smoked bacon, grape tomatoes and a lemon-basil vinaigrette

Hi Fonzi, that’s a really good point and fair criticism – thank you for commenting. Alaska’s new brand ethos centers on all things “West Coast” but I hear you, these new items are definitely meat-heavy.

Im sure they would have done their background work and not seen that much demand for vegan / vegggie options.
