British Airways Celebrates Royal Baby With Crowns & Champagne

by Zoe

While British Airways’ decline over the years is a hot topic any day, the airline is upping the ante this week only.

If you didn’t hear, there was a royal baby born across the pond. As a small public relations stunt to celebrate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first child, British Airways is giving every child on board flights originating in London a little royal treatment of their own — crowns or tiaras. Children will also get a photo frame to allow families to capture the special moment prior to departure.

Additionally, all customers traveling on Wednesday on BA281 to Los Angeles and BA93 to Toronto, the Duchess of Sussex’s former home cities, will get a glass of champagne at the gate. Here’s a toast to the baby.

Remember, you can transfer points from Chase Ultimate Rewards to fly British Airways for a 30% Avios bonus through June 16, 2019. Sadly, champagne and crowns is only a temporary promotion. Thankfully, there’s other British Airways things to look forward to like their upcoming Club World suite.

BA’s new suite, to be available on 2% of their fleet by the end of the year… Vast majority of customers will be in dilapidated, dirty planes with non functional seating and IFE plus hopelessly inadequate catering and “service”
If you want comfort, service or value #flyabba and book elsewhere.
I’m British, fly 70 or so sectors per annum and used to use BestAvoided for all I could but the past 4-5 years have seen cut upon cut upon cut whilst the product delivered has continued to decline.
