Breaking: World of Hyatt Elite Status Extension Through Feb 2022

by Sara Williams

World of Hyatt is extending many member benefits. This includes the longest elite status extension we have seen. Whatever your elite status as of March 31st, 2020, will automatically be extended, with all applicable benefits, until February of 2022. You should be able to see your elite tier status updated to reflect that expiration date no later than April 15th, 2020.

Hyatt is also extending the forfeiture of points through December 31st, 2020. (World of Hyatt points don’t expire, but they do disappear if your account is inactive for 24 months.)

You will also have more time to use earned awards. Free nights, suite upgrades or Club Lounge access that are set to expire this year will be replaced with new, extended, awards by the end of the month they are set to expire on. For full details of this elite status extension from World of Hyatt please see their update here.
