Capital One is continuing to add partners since launching its miles transfer benefit for Venture and Spark cardholders a little over a year ago in December 2018.
Now, the company is announcing that starting tomorrow, cardholders will be able to transfer their miles to redeem with two new hotel partners, Accor and Wyndham! In addition, the standard ratio for transfers to JetBlue TrueBlue will be improved.
How to earn Capital One Venture or Spark miles?
Capital One’s miles transfer program is available to cardholders with the following credit cards:
- Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card (review)
- Capital One® VentureOne® Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One® Spark® Miles for Business (review)
- Capital One® Spark® Miles Select for Business
Capital One has dramatically changed the calculus by improving its offerings recently. The cards are increasingly valuable for travelers and even more so with the transfer program.
Cardholders earn 2X miles on every purchase and 5X on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. The cards also come with a TSA Pre✓® or Global Entry application fee reimbursement every four years and do not charge foreign transaction fees. In addition to miles transfer, cardholders can use their miles to “erase” recent travel purchases including flights, hotels, cruises, and more from their statement.
Capital One Adds Accor Live Limitless and Wyndham Rewards
American Express partners with Hilton, Marriott, and Choice hotels allowing members to transfer Membership Rewards. Chase too allows cardholders to transfer Ultimate Rewards to Hyatt, IHG, and Marriott. Meanwhile, Capital One cardholders did not have any hotel options for transferring their Venture and Spark miles. That changes tomorrow.
Capital One is adding Accor Live Limitless (ALL) and Wyndham Rewards to its miles transfer program tomorrow. This plugs a critical hole for the program and it also makes Capital One the only US credit card transfer partner for both Accor and Wyndham.
The Accor Live Limitless loyalty program is used by 34 hotel brands including SLS, Fairmont, Sofitel, Delano, Mondrian, Raffles, and 28 others. Meanwhile, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has a portfolio of 20 hotel brands. These include the flagship Wyndham Grand as well as the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, La Quinta, Tryp by Wyndham, and 16 others.
With these additions, Capital One has given cardholders more valuable choices for redeeming and utilizing their Venture or Spark miles in a big way.
Capital One TrueBlue Transfer Ratio Improves
Adding hotel partners isn’t the only improvement Capital One is rolling out tomorrow.
If you want to redeem your miles on JetBlue and try their Mint product, Capital One has good news. The transfer ratio to JetBlue TrueBlue will be improved starting tomorrow.
The new transfer ratio will be 2:1.5 (1,000 Venture or Spark miles:750 TrueBlue points) up from the old ratio of 2:1 (1,000 miles:500 TrueBlue points).
Capital One Venture or Spark miles transfers
Capital One broke into the mileage transfer space a little over a year ago in December 2018. Using this benefit, cardholders are able to transfer their Venture or Sparkmiles to travel loyalty programs for redemptions.
With the addition of Accor Hotels and Wyndham, Capital One now has 17 transfer program partners.
- Aeromexico (Club Premier)
- Air Canada (Aeroplan)
- Air France KLM (Flying Blue)
- ALL – Accor Live Limitless
- Alitalia (MilleMiglia Program)
- Avianca (LifeMiles)
- Cathay Pacific (Asia Miles)
- Emirates Airlines (Emirates Skywards)
- Etihad Airways (Etihad Guest)
- EVA Air (Infinity MileageLands)
- Finnair (Finnair Plus)
- Hainan Airlines (Fortune Wings Club)
- JetBlue (TrueBlue)
- Qantas (Qantas Frequent Flyer)
- Qatar Airways (Privilege Club)
- Singapore Airlines (KrisFlyer)
- Wyndham Rewards
Venture or Spark miles can be transferred to the programs at a ratio of 2:1.5. The only exceptions are Accor, Emirates, and Singapore which transfer at a 2:1 ratio. Luckily, the program also runs frequent transfer bonus promotions which can allow cardholders to maximize returns.
The Upshot
The addition of Wyndham and Accor makes Capital One the only bank partnering with these major hotel chains for points transfers. That’s great news for consumers who prefer to collect flexible bank currencies without getting locked into one rewards program. Along with the improvement to the JetBlue transfer ratio, there’s a lot to be happy about here for Capital One cardholders.

Can one pool their Venture ‘miles’ and Spark ‘miles’ for the purposes of a single redemption, or a single purchase ‘erase’ ?
Thx 🙂
