Similar to the current US Airways 500-1000 mile offer from Barclays, Citibank is offering bonus miles for paperless statement enrollment for the AAdvantage personal cards. I had already selected to receive paperless statements after receiving approval for my Citi AMEX and Visa cards back in December, but I disabled the feature in early January based on a reader trip from Erin in Austin. Well, I finally received the paperless offer on Friday, though it wasn’t for as many points as I was hoping…a measly 300. I probably wouldn’t go through the effort again and I like being green with my credit card statements. However, in case you are interested here are the full offer details I received approximately three months after switching to paper statements:

The AAdvantage® bonus miles will appear as a bonus in your AAdvantage® account 8-10 weeks following enrollment in Paperless Statements. The American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles you receive as part of this program may be reported to the IRS as miscellaneous income on Form 1099-MISC, as required by applicable law.
