In January of this year, Hyatt extended its “500 bonus points per night at new hotels” through April 30, 2021. That offer has been further enhanced with a DOUBLE bonus of 1,000 points per night booked. This is to celebrate Hyatt’s 1,000^th hotel opening. The 1,000^th Hyatt property is the Alila Napa Valley – recently converted from the Las Alcobas.  Alila Napa Valley is located in California’s wine country and sits among a vineyard. Now, it is even easier to earn Hyatt Double Points!

Hyatt also extended this new double points promotion for stays through June 30, 2021 (may vary according to individual property’s participation.)

COVID Pandemic May Make Some ‘Hyatts Out of Reach’

Things are changing rapidly across the travel landscape, so it is unclear as to what hotels Americans might actually be able to visit during these promotion dates.

I really had my eyes on the Andaz Bali, which opened April 9, 2021. It was under construction during my last stay at the Hyatt Regency Bali. Today, Indonesia is closed to foreign travelers.

So, at the moment, besides the United States, possible Hyatt properties for this promotion appear to be in El Salvador and South Africa. If I were traveling, I would really like to check out the Hyatt Regency Oryx in Doha, Qatar. Unfortunately, Qatar is also closed to US travelers.
