It’s great to earn points for what you spend on anyway. Use Lyft for rides? Awesome. You can also earn some Hilton Honors points while you’re at it. Earlier this year, Hilton and Lyft announced a new partnership that would automatically earn you Hilton points when riding with Lyft.
The Hilton x Lyft Promo
Through November 15, members who link their Hilton Honors and Lyft accounts and complete an eligible Lyft ride will receive 1,000 Hilton Honors Points.
To link your account, go to HiltonHonorsLyft.com. Eligible Lyft rides include Lyft, Lyft XL, Lyft Black XL, Lux, Lux Black and Lyft Shared in the US and Canada.
Previous customers who already linked their accounts (like myself) are not eligible, sadly. Also, expect the points to show in your Hilton account up to four weeks after the end of the promo.
Here is the regular Hilton Honors earning structure for riding Lyft:
- Earn three Hilton Honors points per dollar spent on Lyft rides
- Earn two Hilton Honors points per dollar spent on Lyft shared rides
- You can earn points for up to $10,000 of Lyft spend per year
The Upshot
Co-branded partnerships like this are fantastic for the customer because there’s only upside and no additional work. Set it, forget it, and watch the Hilton Honors points roll in.
