Take Advantage of These Post-Covid Travel Deals

by Sarah

If  you’re anything like me, you are itching to get away. I live and breathe travel, so to be told I can’t… well, it’s disheartening to say the least. Some of us have been able to take short trips lately to see family. Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones who managed a Memorial Day weekend getaway. But nothing is going to feel as good as that first post-covid trip to Mexico, the Caribbean, or Europe. And travel suppliers know this – my inbox has been full of post-covid travel deals!

Your favourite travel advisor needs to book some of these for you to get the benefits, so if you are ready to plan a late 2020 or 2021 trip, pick up that phone or drop an email. (It’s also worth noting that I have some promotions I can’t share publicly…  wink wink)

Not opposed to traveling but I think you should reminder your readers that we haven’t entered into a post-panedmic phase!

Thanks Keith! I did note that many of these are for late 2020 and early 2021. The majority of these properties are not open currently and travellers or travel advisors have to call the property to book. I was unable to test the online system for half of them. Many people are eager to put some travel back on the calendar, even if they have to postpone or cancel later.

I support the travelling industry entirely and appreciate their gesture to give exciting deals, but honestly, we are not in the post-pandemic state. Even the countries which have recovered from it have been affected by the second wave, or maybe it is still the first phase. According to bio-medical experts, the second wave could be in winter. But yes, natural places with limited community members could be visited and get the benefit of these travel deals.

I am not in favour of taking kids and even elderly with us, and yes, I appreciate the initiative of 14 days quarantine after entering in the UK. However, passionate travellers can bear it 🙂

Hi Nyan,

I totally get it. A lot of those promotions are for travel into 2021, which is great for people who are thinking about getting away this winter or next spring and want to take advantage of deals that entice travellers to get back out there. As a travel advisor I am well aware of what is open to US citizens and what isn’t, and am on daily webinars that discuss the reopenings and what is required in order for people to travel.

Many people are asking for domestic travel, for lodges or ranches with few guest rooms, private jets and boat charters, villas, and small ship cruising for 2021 and 2022. These are all things I am comfortable working on at the moment. (I’m also getting daily emails from hotels sharing their new cleaning procedures and what they are asking of guests.)
