World Of Hyatt Officially Adds Thompson Hotels To Its Portfolio

by Sarah

When the news of Hyatt acquiring both Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) and Two Roads Hospitality (TRH) broke last fall, speculation ran strong about what properties would join the program. Where would World of Hyatt members be able to redeem points? The SLH partnership broadened the portfolio over the winter.

Thompson + Hyatt

And today, Hyatt finally announced that Thompson Hotels would be the first Two Roads brand to join their portfolio. The Thompson-Hyatt partnership opens up a wide array of unique, luxury, hip, properties for travelers.

The Two Roads And Hyatt Partnership

In October, Hyatt announced its acquisition of Two Roads Hospitality, a leading leisure hotel management company with hotels in 23 different countries. In addition to Thompson Hotels, Two Roads also owns Alila Hotels & Resorts, Destination Hotels, Joie de Vivre, and tommie (which does not appear to be included in the Hyatt portfolio). Two Roads Hospitality is a Virtuoso member; it remains to be seen which properties will stay in the program.

Off topic here but…. my World of Hyatt card statement close was on the 8th and I still don’t see the over 40000 points shown in my Hyatt account. Both have said it is the others fault and now on the 17th Hyatt email said “please note that as of now there is some technical issues due to which there is a delay in the transfer of chase points.” This kept me from booking Maui Regency before the point increase on the 18th. Anyone else having points not posting lately?
