Let’s say you’ve been dating someone for a couple months. You’re not really feeling it anymore, so you decide to cut the cord. Do you A) do it while on a walk or at dinner? B) Do you call them up on the phone to break the news? Or C) do you take the coward’s way out and do it via text?
One man chose option D) none of the above. No, he decided that the best time to do this was while confined on a plane with more than 100 other people, waiting on the tarmac for takeoff in Raleigh, North Carolina. Shockingly, it did not go over well, at least until six Bloody Marys were rapidly consumed.
Naturally, in the social-media-driven world in which we live, a fellow passenger decided to live tweet the breakup as it unfolded prior to takeoff.
