Starting August 19, the Tube in London will start a Night Tube program. London Mayor Sadiq Khan has told the Evening Standard that it is expected to provide a £77 million boost to the economy.
It is expected that the Night Tube will create some 2,000 new jobs, including 500 individuals working on the Night Tube. As expected, the most significant boosts are to be expected within businesses such as pubs, restaurants, and hotels.
24-hour subway service exists in several US-cities, albeit on fewer lines than their usual operational schedule. For example, residents in Chicago and New York City can take advantage of several subway lines that operate 24/7.
