Last year, Joanne Snow, a former American Airlines flight attendant, faced 2 felony charges due to her actions on an American Airlines flight from Charlotte, NC to Frankfurt, Germany in November 2015. The affidavit said that she had attacked 2 US marshals and slapped another flight attendant, before trying to flee passport control.
Today, Snow was found not guilty by reason of insanity. In court, a psychiatric report indicated that a hormone she had been given by an anti-aging clinic had caused a temporary mental disease that made her unable to “appreciate the wrongness of her actions.”
U.S. Magistrate Judge David Cayer agreed and accepted her not guilty plea.
